What's Been Selling This Week? 30th June 2015
This week, I've been busy leveling my main but I've also been clearing out some of my alts banks too. I'm still very focused on leveling and am only just beginning to get my gold making machine running but as this was always a popular post in the past, I thought I'd give you a peek at what's been selling this week.
As you can see from the screenshot, I've been selling a wide range of random stuff but the nicest surprise for me was the sale price for the Pyrite Ore - that's an average price of 759 gold for a stack of just 20 ore! If you're a bit short on gold, it might be worth checking out your Auction House to see how much it's selling for on your server and then deciding whether to go farming or not!
It's nice to see the Mammoth Mining Bags are still selling for a good price. These were the last few I had in a bank but I'll be checking out the price of Borean Leather to see if it's worth making more. In case you were wondering, the pattern for this bag comes from the Sons of Hodir in Storm Peaks. Now that so many people don't grind the old reputations, you may find that you are one of the only Leatherworkers able to make this bag so you could, theoretically, push the price up, especially if it's currently selling for very cheap.
Another nice surprise for me was the price of the Trillium Bars. Each trillium Bar takes 10 Ghost Iron Bars (which is 20 Ghost Iron Ore) and your alchemist can transmute the Ghost Iron to Trillium Bars. The transmute isn't on a cooldown either so if the price is right for buying raw materials, this could be another nice little earner from an older expansion.
I'm not really focusing on my Archeology right now so I decided to sell my Ogre Missive. I'm happy with the 332 gold that it sold for but after checking out The Undermine Journal, it seems I could perhaps have waited and got quite a bit more for it. I seem to have forgotten some of the basic rules of goldmaking in my break from playing! I didn't really know what it was for other than Archeology but a little research might have got me an extra 200 gold - know your market and know your prices!
The rest of the stuff that sold is pretty unremarkable, just random stuff from my banks but what this screenshot doesn't show is the 4 bags full of transmog gear I've been trying to sell! I know I have some nice bits and pieces but the rest is probably just average. I think my enchanter is going to end up disenchanting most of it and I'll see how the essence and dust markets are instead!
So there we go - just a slow steady week of sales, nothing really remarkable yet but I'm shuffling raw materials around between three alts to make the best use of garrison work orders while I level my main. Once I hit level 100 on her, I'll be leveling her leather working and seeing how the professions are these days. I've not heard much good stuff about them but I want to see for myself!

What's Been Selling This Week?
I haven't done a weekly report for a few weeks now as I had almost stopped playing the Auction House on my main server whilst I focused on my 30 Minutes a Day Project. I've also started a baby Warlock for some strange reason - I say strange as I already have a Warlock sitting untouched for months at level 52 but hey, I'm enjoying it for now & I'm actually in game, playing an alt!
I did however get my crafting butt into gear a little bit last week and made some bits & pieces to sell - not much though. I'm still kind of in the doldrums right now and being off work for three weeks due to recuperation and Xmas hasn't really helped. But both are just temporary setbacks so I've been planning the start of the New Year whilst laying in bed and letting my body heal itself.
One thing I did do this week was to look again at some old, tried and tested markets, just to see if they were still viable or had returned to their former lucrative glory. The Mysterious Fortune Card's have been taken over by idiots in my absence from the Auction House and when they aren't sitting there at 25g each, they are flying off the shelf at 7g each! I got into a bit of an undercutting war last week with one player who messaged me and offered me his stock of cards for 12g each. I still managed to shift a fair few before he did though!
Now that was a bit rich for me so I said no but we did get chatting and as I'm not that bothered about ruling the market, I understood his frustrations and decided to let him have the market to himself. Today I got lucky and saw a bark in trade from a different guy wanting to buy MFC's. I messaged him and sold him 1000 cards at about 5g profit on the bunch I bought earlier in the summer! So now I have left the first guy to his market and made a profit on a bunch of cards that were just sitting around in my bank!
I do feel a bit bad though as I've not really honored the spirit of my promise to the first guy. Having said that, the 2nd guy was going to stay in the market anyway and by me pushing his buy price up, at least he will be keeping his AH prices fairly high too which should help both of them.
The other market which seems to have made a bit of a comeback is the level 83 & 84 green armor. I sort of stumbled back into it by just absent mindedly running the various shopping list scans I have set up. When I saw a bunch of ilevel 364 & 377 cloth items for 12-25g each, all sorts of bells went off in my head, so I snatched them up quick and ran through the other armor categories too.
My top buy price is 50g but I rarely pay that much and I resell it all for 189g for level 83 and 199g for level 84 stuff. As you can see from the screenshot of My Sales add-on, the market is still very much alive. All those sales are from this last 7 days alone and all were bought for between 12 - 40gold each - now that is a profit margin I like!
Other markets that seem to be moving again is the Crafted Malevolent pvp gear - mainly the leather and mail as I've been slacking on the cloth and plate stuff. A few gems here and there, epic shoulder inscriptions and bags seem to be about the last of my sales this week. The Mammoth Mining Bag market has also been invaded by an idiot who seems to think that 80g is more than enough. I did buy them up at first but that just seemed to encourage him so now I have a bank half full of cheap bags and the other half is full of cheap Borean Leather which I bought to try to dry up his supplies!
I have no doubt I will make a profit on all this stuff eventually - I have no need to rush after all - but in the meantime, it is frustrating to see such a nice little corner market going to waste.
So that was this last week. Looking forward, I'm likely to be super busy next week when I get back to work after a month off so I'm not sure how much gold making I'll have the energy for but I shall keep listing what I have and I may even try and clear out some of my banks and bags. That will be a trip down memory lane for sure! I hoard so much stuff I could probably power level a profession or two if I needed to!

What's Been Selling This Week?
What a good week I've had! I finally knuckled down & made sure to log in briefly almost every day and get stuff listed. It just shows how much difference actually logging in can make!
I decided to make some more Living Steel Belt Buckles as the prices for Living Steel, Pierre the Engineering pet & the Sky Golems are so bad, it really wasn't worth keeping my little stockpile of Living Steel. I'm glad I did because I could probably have sold another 10 or 20 at this price!
The Mammoth Mining Bags have been moving well too - not quite sure how or why but for the last couple of weeks, some guy has crashed the market down to about 80g each. I snatched them up & relisted at almost 500g and mine have sold!
I'm still moving Mysterious Fortune Cards too - again, I'm having to pick my days for listing these as I do have some competition. My server seems to like low prices - I tried undercutting for a day or two but I didn't seem to sell any more that way. I wondered if the volume of sales at the lower price would make up the profit of the higher price cards but it doesn't. So now I'm only posting when the price is above 14g or I am the only one listing. I have plenty of space to store the few stacks I have & I have enough gold sitting in the bank not to be worried about selling them quickly.
Talking of bank space - I found some Hypnotic Dust tucked away in an alt's bank - when I checked the AH price, it was a rather attractive 12 - 15g per dust so I just couldn't resist that listing! I've also been selling some of my excess Ink of Dreams. I should probably do the maths properly on whether it's worth converting it to Starlight Ink but I don't think it is. I only use the Starlight Ink for the shoulder inscriptions and although they sold well this week, last week they were much lower priced and have been for a while.
The crafted PvP gear is selling nicely - I'm concentrating on the leather & mail stuff as the plate & cloth items are super low priced right now. I have more than enough cloth & ore though so perhaps I should just move it all along my production line & try to boost the prices a bit more - hmmm will have to have a think about that this week.
I've been slow on gems again - for some reason, I just can't seem to get my head a round the gem market in this expansion. I did really well with gems in Cataclysm but the prices seem way more volatile these days & I haven't kept up with all the changes to stats so I'm not totally sure of which gems are best now. Another market that needs a bit more attention I think - I did manage to snatch up about 4 stacks of cheap Golden Lotus - under 40g each which is super low for my server. I think I'm just going to transmute the uncommon gems I have & sell the uncut rares - the prices are more stable so I should be able to recoup my costs with much less risk than crafting the wrong cuts!
I also haven't logged my enchanter this week - I've never really got to grips with enchanting other than the main stats to chest which everybody & his mum is selling these days.
I've been checking some other markets out - keeping an eye on things like Netherweave Bags, Frostweave Cloth & bags, pets, flasks and a few other bits but not much is moving really. I did treat myself to 5 new pets today but I was pretty good and only picked up those below 1000g that I didn't already have! Hopefully next week will show some good numbers too - I have a side project going which should keep me logging in & that can only mean good things in the Auction House!
Have a great week everybody xxx

What's Been Selling This Week?
I'm just about over the jetlag after my US trip & almost back into the swing of things at work so I thought I'd better knuckle down & give you something to read here! I've been home 2 weeks now but I've hardly logged in at all so the screenshot is a summary of about 5 log ins to just post my auctions.
I need to spend some serious time topping up my crafted items inventory & use up some of the materials I have overflowing banks, bags & mailboxes too! Whilst I was away, I lost my grip on a couple of my favorite markets so the price of the Mammoth Mining Bags has dropped through the floor! I was selling them for 500g or more but now, some idiot is selling them for 85-90g! Needless to say, I'm buying up all the Borean Leather to dry up his raw material market & I'm buying his stock too. Luckily there's not too much leather floating around otherwise I'd really be running out of space!
Also while I was away, the Living Steel Belt Buckle market took a turn for the better with prices up from 500g-ish to between 600 & 700g. I have a fair bit of Living Steel tucked away so the belt buckles have been a nice income for me.
Before I left, I managed to snag a whole heap of cheap Golden Lotus's - less than 40g each so rather than get all confused about which cuts to craft, I checked out the raw rare gem prices. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on several occasions, the uncut gem price was higher than most of the cuts so I just listed the raws! Not all of the colors though and not every time - mainly the red & yellow gems. I don't know why those colors should be so cheap as cut gems but I picked my days & sold the uncuts when the market was in my favor. Yes, perhaps I lost a bit of profit but I didn't have to work out which gems to craft into which cut gems & I didn't even have to log my Jewelcrafter either!
I reset my Crafted Malevolent gear prices in TSM just before I went away. I'm now setting the market price on many of these without much competition & they are selling. I have managed to pick up so much cheap Exotic Leather that it's even feasible to use the non-cooldown 50 pieces recipe to make the Magnificent Hides too!
You may notice the Mysterious Fortune Cards are missing from my sales list! Yup - someone has decided to crash the price down to 5-6g again so I'm waiting them out. I could buy them but I already have about 2000 from the last crash. The funniest thing is that when the cheap lister isn't around, someone else is listing his MFC's - at 28g each! I was maintaining the price between 14-16g & they were selling on their own. I may have to try barking a bit over the weekend - will be fun to try that again!

What's Been Selling This Week? 14th October Edition
After the disgraceful showing in my last weekly report, I knuckled down & got my crafters working again and as expected, my sales this week reflect exactly that! It just shows though that you can make some gold every week just by logging in and listing stuff. The point is to craft a bunch of stuff at one time so you don't have to craft every day. That's only if you want to tone down your goldmaking time of course! Otherwise the opposite is true - the more regularly you craft & list, it seems the more gold you make - I'm not saying bulk craft every day - that just isn't efficient but certainly restock on the fastest selling items. That's just common sense!
So as you can see from the first screenshot - I found myself a great deal on Borean Leather & got to work making Mammoth Mining Bags - I have about 30 in the Guild Bank now so I won't have to craft those for a while.
Mysterious Fortune Cards - yup - they are still selling & I'm still not barking them! I list about 20 singles, 10 x 5stack & 5 x10 stacks and just top up as and when. I list them for between 14 - 16 gold each when I don't have any competition and will go as low as 10 gold each when there is competition. You may remember I bought 1500 or so for 5g each a while back - I'm still selling my way through those but I knew it would take a while to recoup my investment.
It looks like people are getting bored with the Timeless Isle already and PvP crafted armor sales have improved dramatically. It probably helps that I've dropped my prices - not so much profit per item but with Exotic Leather so easily & cheaply available now, the 1000 gold plus prices felt like gouging & judging by the sales, PvP'ers either felt the same or couldn't afford those prices!
The tailored PvP items are also selling but again, prices are nowhere near what I think we'd all been hoping for. Having picked up most of my Windwool Cloth at around 1gold each though, even the 8 bolt PvP items still only have a crafting cost around 40gold so selling at 200gold or more is still a nice profit!
This week, for a change, I've included a screenshot of page 2 of the My Sales summary. Mike wrote in to ask what other stuff was selling at lower prices as he doesn't have a maxed character/profession yet. I'm not sure how much help this is Mike, but you can see that some of the 2nd page items are flips and some are lower level items. The level 83 & 84 Green armor market is still moving - I buy almost anything at around 25-30 gold and sell level 83 pieces for 175g and level 84 items for around 199g. Avoid the crafted items though - they just don't sell or have such good stats on them.
I dived back into the cut gems market this week too but I badly miscalculated my stock pile of gems pre-patch so I'm having to watch the prices like a hawk - I have plenty of Ore to prospect but I really don't want so many Common gems. I'm watching the Golden Lotus prices at the moment & transmuting Commons to Rares if the prices are right. The supply of uncut Rares is pretty low on my server at the moment with the Uncut gems selling for higher prices than many of the Cuts so I made an investment and bought out 90% of the Golden Lotus market so I have plenty to transmute. I'll let you know how that goes!
A few other bits and pieces moved this week too - the Hypnotic Dust seems to sell slowly but almost always for a great price. I've made a note to myself to look deeper at that - maybe buy up cheap greens to disenchant or look for cheap Cataclysm gems to make jewellry to disenchant. I thought I'd seen the last of those days!
Anyway, that's enough waffling from me - I think you get the picture though - a little bit of time & attention has tripled my sales this week from last week (I know, still not that amazing but it's a dying server!) - actually having the right stuff to sell makes all the difference so be casual, be a bit lazy if you want to but don't forget to do some work on your goldmaking!
Have a great week everyone - may the gold roll in for you all xxx

What's Been Selling This Week? (Or Not!)
![]() |
Chocolates to Cheer Me Up! |
I haven't really been paying attention in WoW - just relisting what I have in my bags & slowly emptying the junk out of my overflowing Guild Bank.I have kept up with some of my profession cooldowns but not all of them - mainly the Engineering one because I really want the Sky Golem - I'm still days behind the curve though - the Sky Golems should be hitting the EU Auction Houses tomorrow I think & I have only 15 or so Jard's Peculiar Energy Sources so I still have 15 more to make :(
As you can see from my screenshot, the Darkmoon Faire is in town & the Treatise on Strategy was a random find in my guild bank - just as well really, given how bad the rest of my sales have been! I promised myself I'd do better this week too but it's now Wednesday & I'm only just doing a post I normally do on Mondays - can you guess what next weeks screen shot will look like? lol
I am going to try & do some crafting tonight though which should help a bit. I haven't been buying materials either but as I did stockpile a fair bit before patch 5.4, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. The Timeless Isle quickly lost it's appeal for me - I only go there to skin now but Exotic Leather is so cheap on the Auction House, it's almost easier to just buy what I need!
Having said all that & having seemingly lost the will to play much right now, I did have an idea for a mini project that might help. I'm going to start it & see if I can drum up some enthusiasm in myself before I publicize it though - I really don't want to get 3 or 4 days in & decide it was a terrible idea!
I guess it's time to dig the alts out and have a look at all the stuff I missed whilst rushing to level 90 on my Main. There's bound to be some gold making along the way too though, isn't there?

Nev's New Project & What's Been Selling This Week?
What's Been Selling This Week?
It's been an okay week in sales for me this week. I've been kind of busy on a new project so I've not really spent much time crafting new stuff to sell. This impacts my sales figures as I'm now selling the leftovers from last week effectively! But having said that, I am still selling stuff and as you can see from the screenshot of My Sales, the new crafted PvP gear is starting to sell at last! Some of the prices are really rather nice too! I've been listing most at 1500 gold but as the market starts to get competition, I've had to drop prices on some items. I made a booboo somewhere too - listing those Greaves of Alacrity at 300 gold? Bah!
I've not been prospecting or milling herbs either so my gem sales are down as are my Shoulder Inscription sales. As I've avoiding the glyph market, milling to get Starlight Ink is a pain! I'm drowning in Ink of Dreams so I decided to try selling some - that worked quite nicely and at a profit too so I've listed some more tonight - in 5's though. Anyone who needs 3 inks to get a glyph made has to buy the 2 extras - sneaky huh?
As expected, the Living Steel Belt Buckles have held their price nicely - I'm hanging onto some of my Living Steel though - the price of that has shot up as has the price of Ghost Iron Ore so before I sell it all via Belt Buckles, I want to double check my stock & make sure I have enough for my Sky Golem mount!
Mysterious Fortune Cards are still selling too although they've slowed down a bit too - competitor is coming and going so I have to time my listing right! Just as I logged off this evening though, he was barking his MFC's and mine were selling! When I checked, he's listed all his in stacks of 10 so I just listed 50 singles to bury his stacks. Obviously that only works for me when people without addons go shopping but you'd be surprised how often that does work!
Gifts for Gamers and Geeks
I mentioned my new project earlier so I guess I'd better tell you about it huh? I've started yet another blog but this time, it's a more commercial one. I've partnered up with Cold of Cold's Gold Factory to produce a Gifts for Gamers and Geeks blog, based on his weekly Gifts for Gamers posts. We're just getting started but his experience with Amazon & the gifts posts is really useful and I make it look pretty and do all the chatty stuff on Facebook.I've always resisted putting too much sales stuff here on AH Addict but I do need to make a few extra pennies here & there if I can so fingers crossed, this is one way to do it! If you want to follow us on Twitter you can @GeekyGiftIdeas or even better, follow our Facebook page at Gifts For Gamers And Geeks and let us know what you'd like to see in future posts. With Halloween & Christmas coming up, let us do all the hard work digging out the cool stuff for you :)

What's Been Selling This Week? 23rd Sept Edition
Well it felt like it was a good week on the Auction House but I have been a bit distracted by Hearthstone & a few other projects too. It was only yesterday evening when I went to take a screenshot of the My Sales summary that I realised that after the mini-patch last maintenance day, I hadn't enabled out of date addons & none of my sales for the week have been recorded! I feel like I've been asleep most of the week or at least zoned out so I doubt my figures would have been that good anyway!
However, I can say that I haven't sold as many gems as the previous week or any of the new glyphs as I didn't craft any new ones & I've even let my daily Cooldowns slip a bit too. I have been selling some of the new Crafted PvP pieces though - not for the 1000g they were in the first week after patch but I have kept the price up to around 700g. That sounds great but actually, that's what I was selling the previous PvP gear for soit's not really that good as material costs are much greater this time.
Having said that, Exotic Leather is super cheap now - I'm so glad I didn't raise my buy price before the patch - I was a little worried that I wouldn't have enough Leather but not having played the PTR, I hadn't picked up on the Skinners Paradise that is the Timeless Isle! I even managed to grab a few stacks of Exotic leather at 10-15g per stack!
Mysterious Fortune Cards are still selling well - my super cheap competitor must be busy over on the Isle or raiding or something because I've had almost no competition again this week. I'm not complaining - I still have over 1000 in stock so I'll be selling these until the next expansion I reckon!
As for the Isle? Well, I took my Paladin over first and got a whole load of 496 purples - sent some to my DK & then took her over too. Wow! What a difference between the two - my Pally can barely manage to stay alive, even though she has a much higher item level. My DK is blood spec though so although she stays alive pretty well, she takes forever to kill anything!

I made sure to turn my add-ons back on so hopefully normal reporting will resume next week. I did find this cool graph bit in TSM but I haven't got my head around the Accounting reporting function yet. You can clearly see when the Patch 5.4 activity started though & you can also see the flatline near the top where I didn't even log in for a day or two! Oops!

What's Been Selling This Week - Patch 5.4 First Report
As promised - my first proper weekly sales report since Patch 5.4 arrived and I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed! I've heard/read so many stories & tweets about large amounts of gold rolling in on these big patches that this report seems just a little lacklustre in comparison. Having said that, my server is definitely low population on the Alliance side so I guess it's not so bad really!
I've learned a few lessons too - I wrote about the new Noodle Carts & Cooking Recipes but in my rush to get my Leatherworker & Engineer maxed, I completely forgot to stock up on food stuffs! I also didn't dive as deeply into Glyphs or Starlight Ink as I should have so I'm playing catch up on those too. The good news is though, herb prices seem to be falling a bit so although I'm doing a lot of milling again, at least I'm getting my inks cheaper than I would have previously!
I did however, stockpile a fair bit of Living Steel and as you can see, the Living Steel Belt Buckles are flying off the shelf as expected - as are the various Shoulder Inscriptions. Gems are doing ok too although the prices are swinging high & low on many cuts. It's as if people are still listing them at pre-patch prices instead of making a killing on all these new armor items that need gemming! This was another market I underestimated material quantities for - I think I got complacent with the amount of Ghost Iron Ore I had but forgot to prospect much of it!
The Crafted Malevolent PvP items are moving too - albeit much slower than the older Crafted Dreadful gear but I'd take a guess that most buyers are over on the Timeless Isle picking up the free loot there. Once the shine wears off that, I'm hoping people will turn to PvP & buy some of this gear. I'm still doing the daily cooldown on my Leatherworkers, Tailor & Blacksmith - I'll keep the AH stocked with at least one piece of each pattern I learn if I have enough materials.
One thing I just noticed I have't done is to make any leg armors! I'll have to fix that tonight. The Tailoring Spellthreads is a market I haven't touched - my Tailor is still level 85 and apparently I need Honoured with the Golden Lotus to get the Epic patterns - I guess I'll have to add that to my growing to-do list!
And I couldn't finish a weekly summary without my two old reliable markets! Yup, Mysterious Fortune Cards & Mammoth Mining Bags are still selling well enough to stay in my top sellers list, even with a little competition on both!
So for this coming week, I'll be prospecting & milling what I should have done before the patch hit & hopefully as people continue to gear up alts, I won't have missed those markets too much! I'm running around the isle on my Paladin & my DK but I think I'm missing something. It's Monk Week over on Laeleiweyn's Alt Appreciation Week so I'll be leveling my first Monk a bit too this week. You can read more Alt Appreciation posts from me over on my other, more general WoW blog if you'd like - She Rides Dragons.

What's Been Selling This Week? 8th Sept Edition
This will be the last sales snapshot before Patch 5.4 arrives and I think I'm just about all ready for that! I wondered whether to even post this but I think it will be interesting to see how things change post-patch next week so here it is as usual!
There's a few changes this week - most noticeably the drop off in Mysterious Fortune Card sales - that damn competitor is still selling masses of cards at 7g a piece and I don't want to compete at that price. I refuse to buy him out as he's already had more than enough of my gold! So I guess I'll just have to wait him out & post when he slacks off!
Another new item in my list is the Ghost Iron Dragonling & the Tinker's Gears - yup - I finally got my Engineering leveled - just in time for patch day! I did learn one valuable lesson though - I went shopping for materials 2 weeks ago, using the materials list on wow-professions but I failed to read through to the next paragraph! If only I'd seen that, I'd have saved myself a bunch of gold as leveling Engineering on a Gnome is a different set of materials- hence the Fel Iron Bars you see in my list!
The usual suspects are still doing ok though - Mammoth Mining Bags & Rich Purple Silk Shirts continue to sell nicely. My newer markets like gems & shoulder inscriptions are doing well (considering how low population my server is after all!) and even a few level 83 & 84 greens are selling.
I spent a chunk of the weekend crafting Enchants, Gems & smelting like crazy. I think I'm just about ready for patch day & I've even managed to book the Thursday off work too - it's the first big patch I've made an effort for so I want to be there to see those sales rolling in!
Whilst the rest of the server is crowding onto the Timeless Isle, I'll be sitting in my corner watching the chaos from afar - my main isn't geared enough to even attempt it yet but I do have to take my 2 Leatherworkers, Blacksmith, Engineer & my Tailor out for a little bit of mob killing and yeah - bad planning by me - that's 5 different alts need to go killing to get the Pandaria drop new patterns for the cooldowns!
Next weeks report should show lots of PvP crafted gear sales again as I fully intend making lots of that stuff. I'm not sure how the enchants, gems & enhancement markets will go but I'm hopeful for a nice boost in those too. I think I'll probably put the MFC's and greens into the guild bank to make bags space for the rest of the stuff but I'll be winging it a lot of the time anyway!
And there's more good news too! My favorite leveling guide has been fully updated to patch 5.4 and is 50% off this week which makes it even better value than before! I love my Zygor's Guide & I'd be totally lost without it! Back at the beginning of Mists of Pandaria, I even wrote a whole post about how much I love Zygors if you want to read the full love story! lol
Have a profitable patch week & most of all, enjoy all the new stuff!

What's Been Selling This Week? 1st Sept Edition
Here we go again - another week's worth of sales and a few changes to my usual top sellers too. My server has been marked as 'New Players' for a few weeks now & I'm definitely seeing more people in Stormwind & Ironforge although whether that is the new players or returning players in time for patch 5.4, I don't know!
My sales have doubled over the last 2 weeks which is nice especially as I haven't been crafting or selling the Leather or Mail PvP gear. I did break down & make a few of the Cloth PvP items though - I have so much cheap Windwool Cloth that it doesn't matter if they don't sell before the patch as the Ethereal Shards they disenchant into will be almost as valuable after the patch!
The Hypnotic Dust was a lovely bonus - I found a few hundred Cataclysm uncommon gems in my Alchemists bank when I was clearing out so I made jewelry & disenchanted it all! The Misthide & Stormscale gear is what I made from leveling my Leatherworker last week so I'm already in profit there now over the leveling cost and she hasn't even started on the main reason I created her! I can't wait for the patch to arrive - I'm really looking forward to reaping the rewards from the Leather & Mail PvP markets!
I mentioned in last weeks report that I had bought a shedload of Mysterious Fortune Cards and many sold as you can see in the screenshot but I've been fighting off low priced competition again. The guy I bought the shedload from said he was quitting but less than 10 days later & he has 40 stacks back on the AH at 8g a piece. I refuse to buy him out again of course but it is slowing down my own higher price sales. I'm undercutting him by 1 copper & burying his auctions under 100 singles at a time! Every time he barks his cheap cards, mine sell! Ok I'm not making the 9g a card profit I would do otherwise but I get the feeling this guy isn't going to let me have my market back so I'll take 3g profit & let him do all the work!
What I did do though was buy up all his Starlight Inks so whilst he's playing in the Card market, I've been selling the Shoulder inscriptions. With a basic cost of about 60g, I'm making between 100 & 200 gold per piece so that almost makes up for the loss of Mysterious Fortune Card sales! I may seem nice but this guy is going to learn not to piss off Nev! lol
Gems have been dribbling out the door - someone crashed the market on Friday so I didn't bother listing over most of the weekend. The price had recovered last night though so hopefully when I log in shortly, I'll have a nice little pile of gold to collect!
Mammoth Mining Bags are still selling regularly and the Titansteel is too - it is a slow mover though & now I have my own Engineer, I'm going to keep the bit I've got left. I've been buying up any & all the cheap Exotic Leather & Magnificent Hides I can get my sticky little paws on - I still don't think I have enough but I'm drowning in Ghost Iron Ore & Windwool Cloth so I really hope those markets pan out as expected in patch 5.4!

What's Been Selling This Week? 26th August Edition
What a wild ride it's been this week! Not that my sales really show it but I made a couple of great deals early in the week & they should start paying off over the next week or so. I also found a gold mine in one of my banks so all in all, it's been a pretty good week!
Over the last few weekly reports, I've been banging on about Mysterious Fortune Cards and oh look! there they are again at the top of my earnings list! This week though, I've had a lot of competition from 2 people selling them at 7-8g a piece so to start the week, I just slowed down & thought I'd wait them out. Well, until I saw that one of them was trying to offload all his stock at 6g each in the trade channel! I quickly logged a different alt and whispered him - he had 1600 cards. I hesitated so he dropped his price to 5g each at which point I snapped them up! He also offered me the Starlight Ink he had so I grabbed a couple hundred of those too - at 20g each which is less than 50% of the current market price. I've been selling the shoulder inscription scrolls quite well so I thought I'd soon shift the inks too.
By Wednesday evening, the other cheap MFC guy had sold out or gone AFK for a while so I listed 400 cards in various stack sizes & actually barked a couple of times in trade. You can see the results in the screenshot - all 400 sold by the next morning at 16g each! Happy Nev that day.
I've also been doing a bit of prospecting & gem cutting - now that I'm using TSM2, I seem to have got the bug again - I think the challenge of making it work has given me the spark back for now. My server is still slow though so I'm not shifting gems at any great pace - I'm hoping the Connected Realms will help to fix that though!
I've also been picking up more & more of the 83/84 MoP Green Armor - buying any below 50g and reselling them for 199g or 225g. The usual Mammoth Mining Bags & Netherweave bags have been selling - although Netherweave Cloth seems to be getting more expensive these days. I can wait though - I'll just snatch the really cheap stuff & make bags in batches when I remember.
So what's this goldmine I found in my Rogue's bank? Cataclysm uncommon gems - 100's of them I'd totally forgotten about! I popped over the the Auction House to check the price of Hypnotic Dust. At 8-10g a piece, I decided it was worth the time to convert all those gems to rings & necklaces to disenchant. Above you can see some of the result - almost 1400g in one evening and I still have about 10 stacks of Dust to sell! That was a nice little bonus this week.
As an update to yesterdays Leveling Leatherworking post, I can now report that the enchanting materials I got from disenchanting all the low level stuff has netted about 2700g so far and the MoP green armor which I decided to sell has netted about 1300g so far. After an initial outlay of about 4200g to buy all the leather I needed, I've regained about 4000g so far and I still have some materials & armor pieces left to sell. I think it's just about paid for itself already you know :) Now if I can just do the same with Engineering I'll be really happy!

What's Been Selling This Week? 18th August Edition
![]() |
Keep It Varied! |
So this week, I'm finally seeing some different items in the top section of my sales list - I've stopped making the leather & mail PvP items and have almost sold out of those now but instead I'm cutting gems & making some enchant scrolls. I did pick up a boatload of very cheap Windwool Cloth though so I have made a few of the Cloth PvP items - just to keep the gold flowing!
But the big seller this week is Mysterious Fortune Cards yet again! Until last night, anyway - Monday evening I did a deal with a player & bought 2000 MFC's from him for 5g a piece, knowing I was selling them fairly easily at 15g & I wouldn't have to mill for ages yet! Then last night, a different player decided to drop the market down to 8g a piece & list 100's of them. Now I could easily buy him out too but I reckon expecting these guys to stay out of the market would be pushing my luck so I'll just hang on to them until my competitors get bored of milling! I did manage to shift 3-400 before they dropped the price though so that'll show up in next weeks post I reckon!
One nice side effect of all that milling though is the production of Starlight Ink as a by-product. I've turned those into the 4 types of Shoulder Inscriptions & they are selling nicely too. I've not been paying attention to my scribe so I don't know if that's the best use for them but for now, it'll do!
I wrote a post a while ago about Titansteel and as you can see, I moved a few bars again this week. They've been dribbling out in 1's & 2's but nowhere near as fast as I'd hoped. Having said that, my server is still pretty dead, I think I'll hang on to them until the Connected Realms thing happens after patch - more people using the same Auction House should shift things in general, I hope.
I'm still learning new gem cuts on my Jewelcrafter but I'm cutting & selling gems too. I haven't started major prospecting yet though - my stash of Ghost Iron Ore isn't going anywhere for a long while yet so I'll prospect as the mood takes me or I run out of gems to cut! It's nice to see some gems making it to the top of my sales list though - Haven't seen that in a long while!
Had a run on Netherweave Bags this week too - I had picked up a load of Netherweave Cloth for around 3g a stack & I finally got around to converting it to bags last week. Cloth is back up to 15g a stack now & the bags are around 18g - just not worth the effort this week so I'll do my usual and wait patiently for the prices to fall again!
And that's about it for this week - next week's post will be the first full week of using TSM2 to craft & create auctions. I kind of like it already but I have a lot of tweaking of groups and operations to do yet so it will be interesting to see if there's any effect on my sales report next time!
Have a great week y'all :)

What's Been Selling This Week? 11th August Edition
Yet another week of slacking here at Casa Nev & no good excuses either - unless you count my dearest getting me hooked on the crack-game that is Candy Crush! It turns out I'm a lot more competitive than I realised and getting ahead of my Facebook friends & staying ahead of my fella has become addictive!
But I did manage to branch out a little this week so although my overall sales are pretty dismal, there is hope on the horizon for 3 new markets! As you can see from the screenshot, Mysterious Fortune Cards are still selling well & as a by-product of those, I have a few stacks of Starlight Ink accumulating. I decided to try the various Shoulder Enchants and have been pleasantly surprised by those selling well. I tried selling the basic inks too - the prices are such that 3 for the inscription is roughly equal to 3 raw ink - but none sold so I guess I'm not the only one trying to use them up somehow!
I also dipped a little deeper into the cut gem market - still no huge volume - either posted or in sales but a wider variety of cuts sold this week. Prices aren't too horrible but they're not great either - luckily the bots seem to be back & Ghost Iron Ore prices are staying around the 40g mark. I just need cheap Golden Lotus now to transmute some of the piles of rare gems that are building up. I could do the whole Jewelcrafter/Disenchanting thing but for the moment, I really can't be bothered!
Talking of Enchanting - I actually made some scrolls this week & they've been selling too! Again, I didn't dive in deep & the prices fluctuate wildly so I still have some learning to do in this market. I also had a couple of posts ideas so watch for those in the next few days!
In other news, I've almost stopped selling the PvP crafted gear - mostly because I'm trying to build up my stock of Magnificent Hides and because with patch 5.4 seemingly so close now, I've noticed sales slowing anyway. I really don't want to be left with a lot of this PvP gear once the new stuff is released! The Tailored PvP gear hasn't been selling for such good prices so I'd stopped that a week or two ago as well.
And that's about it for last week really. The Mammoth Mining Bags are selling but slowly & I've snagged a few of the level 83/84 green armour items for less than 25g so those are showing up on the bottom of the list too. I did make up 60+ Netherweave Bags on Sunday so I'd take a wild guess & say they'll be showing up on next weeks report!
Have a good week everyone - enjoy your gold :)

What's Been Selling? 4th August Edition
In last week's report, I gave myself a mini to-do list which included expanding my markets into gems & enchants. I hit a small snag with enchants though but I have been doing all my profession cooldowns & that meant I had some extra gem cuts to choose from when hitting the cut gem market. I'm still working out which ones sell the best but as you can see from the screenshot, sales of 4 Brilliant & 7 Bold Primordial Rubies this week are not going to make me rich just yet!
My old faithful market at the moment is Mysterious Fortune Cards yet again - they have been flying off the shelf & I've been having a great deal of trouble keeping up with demand even though I'm not even barking them in trade! I've found that 15g95s is a sweet spot price for my server so I have to keep my herb costs as low as possible. With milling, ink crafting then card crafting, it's quite a time intensive product so if I can keep my herb/ink costs down to 3-4g per card, it makes it a little more worthwhile!
The price you see in the screenshot is a combination price - I sell my cards for around the 16g mark but in 1's, 5's & 10's and I don't bark them in trade at all. So the 77 stacks sold is a mix of the various stack sizes & the price is averaged across those sales too. Just in case you're reading it wrong! I'd hate to see someone try to sell cards for 49g each these days - although it's a nice memory :)

My Sales Addon Screen |
So in this coming week, I plan on continuing my daily cooldowns & getting more into the cut gem market. Once I get my head around enchanting, I'll be throwing some scrolls up there too but Enchanting is the one profession I've never really managed to do well with! Let's see how that goes this week shall we? Oh & the other thing I didn't manage to do was get my Warrior out of the city to Itoka for the Lightning Steel Ingot recipe so that's still on the board for this week now :)

What's Been Selling This Week? 27th July Edition
I've heard some people refer to this type of post as fluff or filler content & yes, to a certain extent, it is an easy-ish post to write. However, when I look at my blog stats, these posts always have some of the highest page views so I have to go by the numbers & assume that you, my readers, enjoy them or at least, are nosy enough to want to see what I sell!
Sadly I've had another distracted week & have really only been relisting what's in my bags & guild bank. I always start the week with full intent to get back into game & do some proper gold making & crafting but it rarely turns out that way, especially now I have my iPad to distract me too! It is saving me a fortune on my electricity bill though so it's not all bad!
What's Been Selling?
Okay, so enough blathering from me - what has been selling? Well, the crafted PvP items are still selling nicely - mainly the leather & mail items for the best prices but as Windwool Cloth was & and is still so cheap, the cloth PvP items are selling too, just don't show up on the screenie because the prices are lower. The Living Steel Belt Buckles are the last of my stock as I'm now saving up my Living Steel for when patch 5.4 goes live. I think it's safe for me to say that the general consensus is that Living Steel & Trillium Bars are likely to be in very high demand for Engineers to make their new awesome mount - the Sky Golem!
![]() |
MySales addon screen |
I'm also saving up my Magnificent Hides as my Leatherworker will be busy learning & crafting the new version of the PvP pieces - the first few days of the patch will be crucial as the discovery based system of learning new patterns will make for very little competition at the start. I intend to make a killing on those & my Tailor too!
You can see from the screenie that Netherweave Bags & Mammoth Mining Bags are still going strong - I snatched up a whole heap of Netherweave Cloth for about 3g a stack so I can just follow the market price there - they rarely drop below 15g so it's all profit for me!
I wouldn't normally sell Golden Lotus just on their own but I snagged about 10 stacks for 20g per herb & I haven't been transmuting gems or making many flasks so I thought I'd get rid of a few for some easy profit. Then I logged my Jewelcrafter & saw just how many gems she had for transmuting & kicked myself! Another wake up call for me - I really must pay attention!
And lastly, you'll see a few glyphs in that screenie - I am STILL trying to clear out the last of my stocks so seeing those sales come in is great - especially at those prices but I am definitely not tempted to make any more glyphs - I don't care how good the prices are, they have taken months to sell!
Plan For Coming Week
On my other blog, She Rides Dragons, I often write about my to-do list for the coming week as it motivates me to actually get some stuff done! I may not do all of it but I do at least get some bits started or even finished occasionally! So I thought I'd do the same here - let's see if I actually get anything done this week, shall we?- Check out Enchants market & make scrolls - I know they sell, just been lazy!
- Do my Cooldowns everyday on Tailor, Leatherworker, 2 Alchemists & Jewelcrafter - gotta get those JC cuts sorted out!
- Transmute & Cut Gems - another market I've been really lazy about
- Tailor - finish making those damn Netherweave Bags! All that cloth is clogging up my mailbox!
- Blacksmith - if I have time, get her to the Isle of Thunder to get the Lightning Steel Ingot plans and start discovering some of the Plate PvP items!
I think that will be enough to get me started, don't you? Hopefully the next sales report post will have more than just PvP gear & random stuff in it too. Have a great gold making week everybody!

What's Been Selling This Week?
It's been a couple of weeks since I last posted my weekly sales pics and 2 very slow weeks they were too! This new job is really cutting into my energy to actually play the game right now, to the point where I don't even relist my auctions some evenings. But I made a bit of an effort over the weekend & did a whole bunch of crafting so hopefully this current week will be a bit better.
As you can see, the Black Pepper Ribs & Shrimp continues to sell well even though I've picked up some competition on the other 4 types of +300 buff foods. I've managed to maintain the price at about 80g each & I have 2 or 3 regular customers.
![]() |
week ending 22nd April |
I've stopped selling my Living Steel this week too - the prices have dropped below what I'm prepared to sell it for but not quite low enough to take a gamble on flipping it. I know the new weapons will be arriving soon but I've never had much luck with that kind of stuff so my risk-averseness (is that even a word? lol) has kicked in. I'm playing it safe with Living Steel Belt Buckles instead although again, the prices have dropped a little bit.
The crafted PvP gear is still selling fairly well & the Leather/Mail stuff is holding its price nicely. The Cloth armour isn't doing so well but as I've stocked up on Windwool Cloth all at less than 30g a stack, it's still making some nice profits.
The previous week (when I completely missed a post!) was perhaps my worst week in 6 months. I let my auctions lapse on the Wednesday evening & didn't log in again until late on Saturday. Add in toothache again this week & I'm not sure next weeks report is going to be much better unless the stuff I crafted over the weekend moves!

week ending 15th April |
In other news, I did get an unexpected invitation one evening last week - Marcus Ty asked me to join him on episode 3 of his podcast, the Journal of Marcus Ty. It was great fun - we chatted for maybe 40 minutes before we even started recording & then another 30 minutes or so afterwards too! If you are new to goldmaking, I definitely recommend having a listen to Marcus - he tends to focus on teaching the basics & explaining stuff that I certainly take for granted. It seems common knowledge isn't actually that common these days!
Also, for those who are interested, the screen shots above come from a simple little addon called MySales which you can find on Curse.com. I know TSM Accounting has something similar but this one is just so neat & simple, it suits a screenshot better I think.
